23rd Board Meeting, 9-10 December 2025, Brussels, Belgium
The 23rd Meeting of the GCERF Governing Board was hosted by the European Commission and was held on 9-10 December in Brussels, Belgium. There were 65 participants, including high-level government officials, civil society, and private sector representatives.
Ahead of the meeting, the two Board Committees (Governance and Ethics, and Finance and Audit) had working sessions in November 2025 to prepare and finalise the Committee reports presented to the Board.
Decisions taken at the meeting included the approval of the GCERF Strategy 2026-29, new members of the Board, Finance and Audit Committee, and Independent Review Panel (IRP); as well as the budget 2026 and a new budget structure. The Board reflected on several strategic issues, including the second replenishment campaign, the review of the Strategy 2025, external evaluation of GCERF, and a governance reform.
