John Sampson is a seasoned development leader with over 20 years’ experience across conflict-affected areas in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East. He has led key multilateral initiatives in support of local partners to design and deliver community-led responses to violent extremism, drawing on his expertise in stabilisation, governance, and locally led development. Based in Nairobi, John is committed to shifting power to frontline actors and advancing sustainable, locally owned solutions to address the drivers of conflict and instability.
