Country Support Mechanisms

An initial step in GCERF working in a beneficiary country is the establishment of a Country Support Mechanism (CSM). A CSM is a national multi-stakeholder entity, ideally composed of representatives of national government, sub-national authorities, local civil society, the private sector, as well as bilateral donors, United Nations entities, and multilateral and regional organisations active in the country. The primary purpose of CSMs is to provide a platform for multi-stakeholder collaboration in support of GCERF funding in a country. Further information on CSMs can be found below:
